Outlook

Burpo enters his third season in MLS after spending nine years with the Seattle Sounders as one of the top goalkeepers in the USL First Division. He showed his ability to keep his team in the game with an eight-save performance at New England last season. Burpo should provide a veteran presence for the newly formed expansion side.

2007: Appeared in three games for Chivas USA, posting a 1-1-1 record and a goals against average of 1.00 … Made season debut on 6/3 vs. NE and made two saves to notch a shutout in 2-0 win … Recorded three saves, but allowed two goals at DAL on 7/4 … Had a season high eight saves on the road at NE to secure a 1-1 tie.

2006: Joined Chivas USA on March 17 after nine years with the Seattle Sounders … Played 19 regular-season games for Chivas USA (starting 19), logging a total of 1,710 minutes and registering a 1.21 GAA … Did not appear in the playoffs.

2000-01: Spent time on the roster of both the Kansas City Wizards and Colorado Rapids, but did not see action in a game.
