Outlook

O'Brien, a four-time MLS All-Star, comes to San Jose after six seasons of dazzling MLS fans with his creative play and knack for scoring great goals. The Irish-born midfielder provides a strong boost to the Quakes attack, as he can play both wide and in the center of the midfield. A handful for any defender, O'Brien works tirelessly to take on opposing defenders and create scoring opportunities. After playing for Toronto last season, he joins another expansion team this year. O'Brien should play a vital role in the Quakes' success in 2008.
