Outlook

Last year, Riley became a fixture in the Revolution's back line, playing in a career-high 27 games in his third season in MLS. Able to play both midfield and defense, Riley uses his great speed to get up and down the wing. A strong possession player, Riley should fit in to head coach Frank Yallop's ball control philosophy. While mainly playing on the right, the former Wake Forest star can also play on the left wing and in the middle. He is one of many versatile players on the Earthquakes roster in 2008.
