The San Jose Earthquakes
put up a fight Saturday against the Columbus Crew, leading through 72 minutes behind Ramiro Corrales' 42nd-minute header, but it was ultimately not enough as the Quakes fell to the MLS leaders, 3-2. Ryan Johnson added a late San Jose goal.
